The tranquil surroundings make this place the perfect romantic getaway for couples and an amazing place to spend a holiday as a family. Various wildlife and lifestock are frequent visitors of the cabin including our resident heron. Enjoy a drink on the sun deck and watch the sunset over the fields from the hot tub.

The village of Fontmell Magna is in a conservation area and an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is a dark skies reserve. The Hut faces over the lake with glorious, uninterrupted views over the Fontmell Downs. The Hut is but offers a luxurious glamping opportunity with all the mod cons. Suitable for 2 adults and 2 small children is suitable all year round.

Located on first floor and provides 2 bedrooms, lounge / diner, shower bathroom, chill / hide out room, spacious 130sq. ft balcony (rare!) with amazing views / sunsets over Poole Harbour, Brownsea Island and in the distance the Poole Quay area. Really comfortable and warm converted stables next to our main house but with privacy, standing in idyllic private valley. Less than 2 miles from Shaftesbury. The cottage overlooks our small lake (about 1/2 acre). Peaceful countryside with buzzards, woodpeckers, a barn owl, ducks, pheasants, deer and even otters. See them at your breakfast table or in our enclosed veranda with circular table and overhead heater. Well behaved small / medium dogs only - strictly by prior agreement.
