The A1A is a mostly two-lane stretch of waterfront beauty that stretches from Gamble Rogers Memorial Park on Flagler Beach in the south to the luxurious Ponte Vedra Beach in the north. The 72 miles between the two traverse state parks, national monuments, nature trails, estuaries, and of course, stunning beaches as far as the eye can see.

Named for the Florida folk singer and raconteur, this barrier island park stretches across 145 acres of graham-cracker-colored beach, coastal dunes, maritime hammock, and riparian habitat. Anglers like it for the opportunity to reel in red drum, flounder, and trout from the riverbanks, while the beach is a draw for swim fans and sandcastlers alike.
