This cozy cottage is nestled in the woods off the shores of Tamarack Lake. Your onsite hosts Patti and sometimes Anthony, with their 2 very friendly cattle dogs, Ralph and Ruby, will sometimes be sharing the cottage. Patti will prepare breakfasts and clean as needed. The nearest town is only a 5 minute drive, and the larger town is 20 minutes away that offers many amenities. The lake is non-motorized. Enjoy fishing and cruising using a canoe, kayak, paddleboat, stand up paddling or rowboat.

Rustic Log cabin retreat

Escape to an authentic, rustic log cabin on our private farm in the Algonquin Highlands. It's like camping but with a powered cabin, beautiful queen bed (linen supplied), sofa, small pantry and stove. Outdoors there's a BBQ, firepit warm shower and Aussie style outhouse. The log cabin is next to a corral with two horses - the horses wander the property. You're surrounded by dense forest and private walking trails. It's very private yet safe as you're 100 metres from our main house.

Our cabin is surrounded by majestic forest and is just minutes away from Eagle and Pine Lake beaches! Welcome to Bloor’s Island! The property is WATER ACCESS ONLY REQUIRING A 350m PADDLE. A canoe, paddles and lifejackets are provided for the length of your stay…or bring your own boat! There is a public boat launch on the lake and a small beach to launch canoes. Public parking is free at the canoe launch. The property consists of 2 Bunkies a fire pit and one bathroom that has a composting toilet. Quiet, secluded and private. Please note check-in times!
