Take a quiet vacation at this fully renovated historical schoolhouse built in the 1800's. It offers an open floorplan with a loft area where the four twin beds are located *can be made more private by closing the barn doors. There is two full bathrooms, a large kitchen area, living space, dining space, and an open area we can set up to be used for craft activities or other activities upon request. It also has a Halo air purification system, stopping virus particles to travel through the HVAC.

Welcome to Reel-Axe-Inn cottage on 525 acre all sports Union Lake. Our cottage is small but functional! We are about 10 min. from Union City & Athens, 25 min from Coldwater. During summer season you can bring a boat or jet ski's to put in at the public dock and enjoy our floating raft. Our dock/seawall area is a great fishing location (bring your own fishing gear), we have 2 kayaks for you to enjoy, fire pit, lots of outdoor seating in both sun and shade. Quiet lower level apartment in farm-like setting.

Our long-awaited guest space in the LOWER LEVEL ( as in basement!) . There is a Living room, bedroom, bathroom w shower, a small kitchen with sink and small appliances. Decor is kept in clean and earthy colors. The entry is semi-private from Garage. Guests will enter through the garage into the home and then immediately find the access door to the basement. Reiki -and esthetician services are available in-house upon appointment. Stand-by Generator keeps us going throughout power-outages

This is a rare opportunity to be the only guests on a secluded 220 acres of gentle hills with grasslands interspersed with trees and ponds. Explore natural ecosystems and witness sustainable grazing of sheep. The back yard is filled with an organic vegetable garden and behind that are honeybees. Your family may participate in any and all of it. The newly renovated apartment is the upstairs of my farmhouse. It includes a private entrance, full kitchen and deck overlooking the lake.

The lookout inspired Outpost Treehouse (not actually attached to a tree) sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 65 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck. The biggest regret that guests have noted is “we wish we would have stayed longer”!
