Until recently the studio of a visual artist (long ago garden illustrator for The New York Times), this petite building is completely private. Firm queen bed. Mix of antiques and artisanal built-ins. Radiant heat. AC. Mini fridge and microwave, electric kettle, Chemex coffee maker and French Press, excellent wifi. Unique space in one of the best country neighborhoods around. 6.5 miles to Hillsborough healthy grocery store, 8 to Carrboro/Chapel Hill, 18 to Durham. Serene pond and grounds.

Located close to downtown Carrboro and Chapel Hill, The Scout House has all of the rustic charm of a country retreat plus the convenient, urban amenities of The Triangle. The beds (one king and one queen), are brand new and super comfy. The views include a historic barn, ivy covered stables, green pastures, and woods. There is a lightly wooded trail to a serene private pond. The Scout House is a charming and wonderful place to stay for any and all occasions!

Our 67-acre property, Split Rock, is located 25 min. from Duke University and UNC-Chapel Hill. We are also 15 min. from Carrboro & Hillsborough, a historic, walkable community. Our guesthouse is a large pool cabana with kitchenette & queen bed overlooking a 4.5-acre pond surrounded by uninterrupted woodland. Waterfront right on a beautiful pond! We raise Belted Galloway cattle. Our Farm Stay was built from local reclaimed tobacco barns. We have miles of walking trails, ponds to fish, abundant wildlife, lots of peace and quiet, and beautiful scenery in all directions. We have large grocery store , several local restaurants for breakfast, lunch, and dinner only 3 miles away. Please consider staying with us! No dogs please.

Charming 1810 cabin and garden for rest & events.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This 18th century log home is a country side dream. The cabin comes with access to the whole of the gardens. This is an authentic 200+ year old cabin with a few updates. She’s rough around the edges but full of charm. ‘Pristine’ and ‘luxury’ are not in her bones. The smell of decades use of fireplace and hand-hewn timbers make this old cabin a unique place to relax.
