Design Cottage Close to Icelandic Countryside & Reykjavik

Step into one of the oldest homes in town, dating from 1884. Curated by the owners of the design studio Reykjavík Trading Co., The Garden Cottage has been completely remodeled to provide a unique feeling, with a lot of the furniture handmade or meticulously crafted and selected from their travels to California, Scandinavia & Mexico. The land behind The Garden Cottage is home to their designed greenhouse, communal garden, chickens and their most recent addition, The Shed which is their workshop / shop where you can visit for a coffee, buy pieces or see their process of making objects. Curated by the owners & designers of Reykjavík Trading Co. (an Icelandic / California homeware company) the Garden Cottage is their first project of creating a home space for guests to experience a unique & cozy feeling while visiting Iceland. The bottom floor of the 1884 built home has been completely remodeled for guests. Everything in the home has been either made by hand by R.T.Co. or selected from their collection of preferred products & appliances. Anthony Bacigalupo & Ýr Káradóttir, the owners of The Garden Cottage, live & work in the separate upper part of the historic home & their R.T.Co. workshop is located in the back of the garden for guests to visit, learn about the pieces being crafted, or just to have a cup of coffee. We wanted to create a place for guests to experience "slow living" & create a special stay. Having designed spaces for hotels, cafes, bars we decided to put our inspiration & collection into this project & build something completely one-of-a-kind in Iceland. Our registration number is HG-00003324 Our guests have the whole bottom house to themselves, with a selection of curated magazines, books & products from R.T.Co. & other designers. The home was built in 1884 & we have been remodeling & bringing back the style it once was but also bringing back the garden & farm style that was once so prominent back in the day. We believe in hospitality to the fullest which sadly doesn't exist anymore in places. Since we live on the property we can answer any questions you have or have you in for a coffee if you need help deciding your journey in Iceland. The cottage is in the oldest part of Hafnarfjörður, a small harbor town. There are great farm-to-table restaurants, bakeries, live music, artist studios and swimming pools nearby. It’s conveniently located across the road from the town’s bus terminal. The house has three stories but is broken into two flats- we live on the upper floors with our children with separate driveway and front door- but we are here for anything you need or to have a coffee in the greenhouse! Our little town can be easily walked around & explored. Shuttle stops for airport & Blue Lagoon are 3 minutes walk next to the ocean & the bus terminal into Reykjavík is close as well.

Private villa with an ocean view

A spacious private villa with a fantastic view over ocean and mountains. Situated in Mosfellsbær, only few minutes drive from Reykjavík. Perfect place to enjoy peace and natural surroundings but still being close to the city. A few minutes walking distance to a swimming pool and a golf course. Easy access to attractions such as Þingvellir and The Golden Circle. The house contains four bedrooms, spacious bathroom, well equipped kitchen, dining room and living room enjoying wonderful ocean views.

Beautiful villa in Hveragerdi

A beautiful new and modern house in Hveragerdi, perfectly located for exploring the south coast of Iceland. At this house an open living area with floor length windows and a 13f ceiling opens to a 500 sqf terrace with a jacuzzi and from there to a big private garden. The location offers easy access to the main attractions of the village as well as to a variety of fun out door activity including swimming, golfing, horseback riding and hiking basically all within a walking distance.

House The house is 105 square mete, sleeps up to 4 people. The master bedroom has a EU King 160x200 cm bed and the second bedroom has doubles bed 135x200 cm (suitable for 1 person or 2 small persons) Kitchen is fully equipped. Bathroom has a shower, washer & dryer. In the living room has a comfortable sofa with TV .

This is a 4 bedroom house that has private parking and own entrance. Living room has a dining table for 8 people , 50 inch smart TV and high speed internet. Kitchen is fully equipepped and the bathroom is spacious .and It is in prime location for all day tours pick ups and sightseeing. Cosy home with a hot tub

Relax with your family at this peaceful place to stay. 3 bedrooms for 6 persons and a baby bed. The house is located in a quite suburb close to nature. Nice walking areas around Grafarvogur bay. The house is very close to the main road heading down town. Supermarket/petrol station is located in 2 minutes walk. The house is very cosy with hot tub that is always ready to use. Big and beutiful patio is facing south.

Family friendly house located in a peaceful neighbourhood. Has all the amenities that most wish for to make their stay perfect.
