"De Gulle splendor" Vacation home, Friesland

Our cozy vacation cottage, originally was an old stable that we (Caroline and Jan) converted together, with lots of love and respect for the old details and materials, into this "Gulle Pracht". Through a private driveway with parking, you reach the terrace with the spacious garden, a lawn with surrounding tall trees, where you can enjoy. Through the two French doors, you step into the bright and cozy living room with the white old beams and a fully equipped open kitchen. There is wireless internet available, TV and DVD. Because of the ceiling in the living room that has been removed, beautiful light falls in from the skylights and you have a view of the roof structure with the old round hoods. The beds are located on top of the two lofts. The comfortable double bed is accessed by an open staircase. The other loft, where a third or fourth bed can possibly be made, is only accessible by flexible guests via a ladder. It is not suitable for small children because of the danger of falling, but older children find it exciting to sleep there. Please note, the two lofts share the same large open space. Under the old beams, you can sleep peacefully, where only the sound of rustling trees, whistling birds or your deliciously snoring bedmate will be heard. The room is heated by central heating, but also only the wood-fired stove can heat the cottage comfortably. You will be provided with enough wood from us to start a cozy fire. Through an old stable door in the living room, you come to the bathroom with beamed ceiling and underfloor heating. The bathroom has a good shower, double sink and toilet. With its inlaid mosaics and all kinds of funny and old details, this space is also a feast for the eyes. There are two bicycles available for nice trips in the wider area (Harlingen, Franeker Bolsward). We may want to drop you off in Harlingen for a crossing to Terschelling. You can leave the car in our yard for a while. We, ourselves, live in the farmhouse which is in the same yard. We are available for help, information and advice for fun trips in our beautiful Friesland. Your cottage and our farmhouse are separated by our garden and the big old barn (with pool table), so we both have our own space and privacy. Kimswerd , located on the eleven city route is a small, quiet and beautiful village where our Frisian hero " de Grutte Pier" was born and lived. He still watches over us, in petrified form, at the beginning of our little street, next to the centuries-old Church, which is very much worth visiting as well. You can do your shopping in Harlingen, the supermarket is a fifteen minute bike ride away. The old port of Harlingen is 10 km from our cottage. Kimswerd is located just across the Afsluitdijk. From there, follow the signs N31 Harlingen/ Leeuwarden/Zurich and take the first exit at Kimswerd, 1st right at the traffic circle, 1st right again at the next traffic circle, straight ahead at the intersection, across the bridge and immediately take the first left (Jan Timmerstraat). At the beginning of this street, next to the church, stands the statue of the Grutte Pier. We live in the farmhouse behind the church, Jan Timmerstraat 6, first wide gravel path on the right. - For small children, sleeping on the loft without a fence is not advisable because of the danger of falling. It's just fun for big kids, the loft is accessible by a ladder. Please note, it is above 1 large open space with no privacy.

Enjoy the tranquility, the beautiful Frisian landscape and also great water sports? All this is possible in this beautiful and complete water studio! On the edge of the beautiful village of Heeg and in the heart of the water sports area of Friesland is this harbor house. Complete and furnished for 4 people. You can relax in the cottage with lots of light and the sun-drenched garden with the late evening sun. There are 2 terraces, one on the water with a lovely lounge sofa. Characteristic fisherman's house close to downtown

This old fisherman's house, built before 1900, is located in old Joure, close to the center. It is a characteristic and cozy house and equipped with every modern comfort. You really feel 'at home' there during your vacation. Joure is located in the heart of the water sports area. Rent a boat or go cycling or hiking through the woods at St. Nicolaasga or along the Frisian lakes. A beautiful 18-hole golf course can be found in St. Nicolaasga (Burggolf). For children there is' Swimfun '; recommended.

Apartment Landleven is located in a quiet area. About 10 min walk from the Wadden Sea and 10 min. drive from the beautiful harbor town of Harlingen. The apartment is 60 m2 and has its own parking space, private entrance and private garden with veranda. The apartment is characterized by a cozy and luxurious appearance. Vacation home on Eysinga State estate.

Ideal stay to stay with children. In a peaceful place in the park with 400 m2 of private land. A games room for the little ones and games for young and old. Watch a DVD on a rainy day. In the summer, there are plenty of facilities in the park, such as a bouncy cushion, swimming beach and playground equipment. Animation during school holidays from the north. Nice villages within 5 km like Langweer and Joure. You are at the edge of the forest with hiking trails and a golf course.

It is a detached cottage in the back of the center in Joure. It's a beautiful unique cottage and completely complete. You can walk to the supermarket within 1 minute and to the port and park of Joure within a few minutes. On the ground floor is a toilet, laundry room, open kitchen with a large dining area.
