Situated the picturesque village of Gileston in the grounds of the 400 year old Grade II listed thatched cottage, Rose Cottage. The property is 10 minutes walk away from the beautiful Glamorgan Heritage coast and the Welsh Coastal path. There are loads of beautiful walks nearby aswell as two pubs (15 minute walk) and a large co-op (10 minute walk). Wedding venue Gileston Manor is a 1 minute walk away. Great access to Cardiff Airport, Cardiff Stadium, the Principality Stadium and the city centre.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Sparrows is a self contained insulated cabin on a smallholding on top of a mountain with fantastic views. The interior is designed using recycled, reused and re- purposed items. It has a double bed, heater, shower room, kitchen area and wifi, water comes from a mountain spring. Our stylish & cosy hideaway is the ultimate escape where you can re-wild yourself in acres of tranquility. Wander straight out the door onto the mountains taking in some breathtaking views. Cosy hillside outhouse; walkers getaway.

Stone outhouse with cosy living room, electric woodburner and kitchenette. Double bed in loft room and compact shower room. Beautiful views of the valley and hills from a private terrace. Use of secure private garden. Private parking, an EV charger and use of kayaks for the Brecon canal. The walk to Crickhowell is 20 minutes. A perfect base after a walk, comfy sofa and bed, tray tea in front of the fire or eat out at the local pubs.

Self-contained Mountain-top Retreat

Bwthyn Bach (little cottage) is our beautiful, self-contained studio, boasting incredible sunset views of the Brecon Beacons and Pen-y-Fan from your bedside. It’s perfect for a relaxing getaway, with patio and garden facilities accessible. Breakfast basics are included with fresh eggs from our hens. Please be aware that this is only accessible by a single tarmac track that winds up the mountain. Access in the winter can be limited.
