Located a quarter of an hour from Saint Pierre des Corps TGV station (55 minutes from Paris), it is close to the Châteaux de la Loire, the Zoo-Parc de Beauval and the "Cher et Loire à vélo" routes. Fireplace, fire pit, barbecue, TV and Wi-Fi are available. The kitchen is equipped and the bathroom has a washing machine.

Troglodyte house, also called home cave, are typical of the Loire Valley. Even if it was for a long time a rustic place to live in, for poor people, we can now live there with a great confort, as you can see on photos and reviews. By occupying this place, you will live in the middle of a rock formed around 90 millions of years ago ! On closer inspection, you can even discover fossils of shells. Those places have also been used for winemaking of Vouvray (white wine).

In a troglodyte, retro and friendly atmosphere, come and discover "LA maison de Madeleine", entirely restored with our little hands! A semi-troglodyte house, with the Living Room-Library entirely in the rock, with wood stove, armchairs and sofa, and a piano! As well as a whole house, stands on 3 levels, two bedrooms, a shower room and a bathroom, and a cozy kitchen... A pleasant exterior, with table and chair terrace, all facing south...quiet!

Athée-sur-Cher: Old sailor's house in a small village on the banks of the Cher. Two large bedrooms upstairs, large garden. Large living room and dining room, with fireplaces. Close to many famous sites (Amboise, Le Clos Lucé, Chenonceau, Chambord, La Bourdaisière, Azay-le-Rideau. Beauval Zoo and Park). The Loire and Cher bike paths are just around the corner. A "Toue cabanée" on the Cher for a river trip to Chenonceau in summer!

The Rock House

Our house is very atypical because it is semi-troglodyte. There is a very common characteristic in troglodyte houses, it is humidity... it is due to the absorption of small amounts of water continuously. So you have to dehumidify the air and heat it all year round. There is a courtyard in front and a large private park on the heights to relax with a picnic table and deck chairs. The car can be parked nearby.

The house is completely independent, very nice, well decorated. 3 bedrooms, 2 double beds, 4 single beds, 2 bathrooms, 2 toilets, an open-plan kitchen with fireplace in the large living room!
