Converted Granary in Rural Somerset Nr Bath, Bristol, Wells

Set in peaceful, rural countryside yet within easy reach of Bath, Bristol and Wells, The Granary at Manor Farm is a beautiful old stone barn that has been converted to provide all the comforts you need for the perfect break. Bright and spacious with high ceilings, exposed beams, splashes of colour, contemporary furniture and access to an indoor pool and extensive gardens. The Granary at Manor Farm is on the upper half of a traditional Somerset stone barn. The accommodation comprises a bright, spacious open plan living and kitchen area plus a bedroom and bathroom. All rooms enjoy high ceilings, original oak beams and lots of light from the south facing windows. We have designed it to be private, peaceful and to take full advantage of the views across the garden and lovely Somerset countryside beyond. The Granary benefits from underfloor heating throughout and a Morso wood burning stove, so plenty of comfort for those who enjoy a quiet night in. Where possible we have retained or recycled features from the Granary’s previous incarnations to achieve an appealing blend of the old and rustic with the new and comfortable. The furniture and fabrics are all new. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher and large Liebherr fridge freezer. In the living area there's a TV, Freesat and blu-ray player. The bedroom is simply furnished with a kingsize divan bed and high quality 400tc cotton bedlinen. The bathroom has a free-standing bath with a separate, spacious dual-head rain shower and a double basin. Outside, we hope you will enjoy the extensive garden which we open one day each summer for the National Garden Scheme. There are lovely areas to sit and we can lend you a barbecue if you would like to enjoy some al fresco dining. Beyond the garden we have a couple of paddocks which are (usually) occupied by sheep, and the garden is surrounded by fields, so it is not over-looked. You will also have access to our indoor heated swimming pool and conservatory area in the lower half of the Granary building. Please let us know in advance when you would like to use the pool and we can make sure that you have exclusive access at the arranged time. We provide towels and bedlinen, soap and kitchen essentials. Our welcome basket includes milk, bread, tea, coffee and home made preserves. If the dates you are looking for aren't available don't forget we also have Manor Farm B&B listed on Airbnb. A huge, luxurious en-suite bedroom, delicious breakfast and the use of the swimming pool! The Granary is a self-contained holiday apartment. You will need a car (or bikes) to take full advantage of the local area and there is a large car parking space adjacent to the accommodation. We can provide secure storage for bikes. Guests with limited mobility need to note that it is a first floor apartment, accessed via external stone steps. The apartment itself is all on one level. Guests are welcome to use the large main garden and, by prior arrangement, the indoor swimming pool. We will do our best to ensure that the pool is available to use during your stay but occasionally there may be circumstances which will mean that we have to close it. We live in the original farmhouse with our two small boys. The Granary windows face away from the farmhouse, so you may hardly see us! However, we will usually be on hand to welcome you and help with any queries you might have. We will be happy to recommend places to go and things to see in the local area. Otherwise, we will leave you in peace to enjoy the space for yourselves. Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. There are many great pubs & restaurants close by including the Michelin starred Pony & Trap. Bristol, Bath and Wells are all easily reached. We are in great cycling and walking countryside but you will need a car to take full advantage of the area. We can provide taxi numbers, but please note that as we are in a rural area, taxis are best booked in advance. Babes in arms are welcome (and we can lend a travel cot with prior notice) but the apartment isn’t suitable for toddlers due to the external stone steps and ponds in the garden. Stowey is in the heart of the Chew Valley on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Chew Valley Lake offers first class opportunities for fishing, sailing and birdwatching. Rural walks and bike rides can be accessed from the door and we are right on the edge of the Mendips with further opportunities to explore the beautiful Somerset countryside. There are many great pubs & restaurants close by and Bristol, Bath and Wells are all within a 30 minute drive.

Luxury flat with indoor pool

This stunning flat is set in the old stable block of an Old Georgian Rectory in a peaceful village situated between Bath, Bristol and Wells. With an indoor pool, its own courtyard and garden area and parking for 2 cars this property combines the luxury of an historic setting with the convenience of a totally modern flat. It also has a cosy pub just yards from the end of the drive open Weds - Sundays with others closeby. A romantic hideaway or for a small family of 4. Pls bring own pool towels.

Cosy cottage in the heart of the village.

A cosy, stone built, terrace cottage in the heart of Timsbury - a perfect hideaway for 2. Freshly painted through out (spring 2024). The local co-op and pub are 5 minutes walk along the lane. A memorial garden at the top of the lane allows you to take a seat in the fresh air. The tiny chip shop can provide your dinner - highly recommended, and a brand new cafe ‘The Square’ are less than a minutes walk. Plenty of country walks on your doorstep and the world heritage City of Bath is only 6 miles.

Lydes Farm is a Stunning 6 bedroom Farm House with private hot tub set in 6 acres of countryside between Bristol & Bath where you take long walks through the woods and soak in views of Chew Valley lake or simply relax on the sun terrace and take in the country air whilst the kids play in the beautiful gardens On arrival you'll enter via a breath-taking entrance which leads you up the 200-yard driveway which is lined with overhanging Hornbeam & Lime trees all the way to the front of the property

The accommodation we are offering is a timber clad self catering apartment set within our grounds with secure parking. On a bus route (temporarily suspended on week ends) and perfectly located for Bath(6 miles to centre) Cheddar Gorge and Wells etc in the heart of the Mendips. Ideal for guests attending the wedding locations at Priston Mill, Radford and Camerton. The 'SHED'

This cosy cabin is set next to our 2-acre wooded land, which you are more than welcome to explore! We live in a house next to the cabin and are usually on hand if needed. Bringing your dog(s)? They'll have a great time running around the garden and exploring the wood! Our land, steeped in coal mining history and on the border of an Area of Outstanding Beauty, is a great place to come and relax. Bishop Sutton is also set in the beautiful Chew Valley within walking distance of the lake!

Shortwood Barn is a contemporary barn conversion in the Mendip Hills, an AONB - wonderfully situated in the unique rural triangle Bath, Bristol, and Wells. Our intention is to offer great value. The Cobblers, detached retreat near Bath & Bristol

The Cobblers in Timsbury, on the edge of Bath is a fabulous detached property. It has one bedroom with a king size bed, a luxurious bathroom with a large walk-in shower, a fully fitted and equipped kitchen with table & chairs. The living room is large & very comfortable with bi-fold doors opening up on to a private terrace with pretty views of the garden. A little haven away from the hustle & bustle of daily life but also a short drive away from Bath, Bristol & many other beautiful spots.

Harptree Hideaway is close to historic Bath, vibrant Bristol and Wells with its Cathedral and Bishops Palace. We are very close to Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole. We are surrounded by fabulous pubs and places to visit e.g Chew Valley Lake, famous for its bird watching. East Harptree is a beautiful village with lovely walks and woods accessible straight from the door. The apartment is of a high standard with separate bathroom, bedroom and lounge/kitchen. It is spacious, comfortable and cosy.

The Ox House is a converted milking parlor that has been lovingly restored to a high-quality. Self-contained with a large kitchen, dining area, lounge with log burner and comfortable beds, you couldn't possibly wish for more. We offer a variety of amenities to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible. We are a family run smallholding with alpacas, donkeys, sheep, and chickens and are able to offer advice and ideas on where to go and what to see during your stay in Somerset.
